Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
For 12 years we were married. I left while he was at work. The abuse was starting to escalate once we decided to divorce where he wouldn't leave me alone and was all sorts of name calling throwing water in my face holding me in a room.
He started dating someone 2 months after I moved out. 10 months later they were engaged. I just last week found out she's living with him (that I knew). I did not know she had 2 boys. So her boys are living with my ex and MY SON.
I'm broken. It's like I'm going through the breakup all over again. For 6 months my son wouldn't talk to me.... brainwashed by my ex. I have my son back ... we see each other once or twice a month. Better than nothing but I'm broken he has a new family.
I want my family back. How horrible is that! If I could move back in and start over, I just might.
Logically I know he spent all the money, blamed me for there being no money. He put me down. He treated me like a sex object. He didn't respect me. I have the emails to prove it.
But if I'm not happy I don't want him to be happy.
I invited my son to live with me and his response was "dad and I are very close you know I can't do that"
I'm broken. I can't stop stalking her FB which is NOT good cause she posted her anniversary flowers her vday teddy bear.
I use meds to sleep through my weekends partially just to make the time pass and also so I won't eat to help me lose the divorce weight. He makes fun of me for it.
I'm so sad. So lonely. I get out there... I volunteer... I have some weekly fun groups I go to. But I can NOT get them out of my mind! Last night I dreamt he came home and I looked out the window to see him making out with some chick. I moved out over a year ago!

Be very professional about the hand off when you get visitation. Don't return to the friendlier ways of your marriage. Just end the contact. You have the perfect reason. You are divorced. If your son asks, don't tell him the details, but do point out that you and his Dad are not divorced for no reason. Then, say no more.
I wish you well with your son. He is lucky to have such a thoughtful Mom who cares for him so much.
