Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

Abuse creates trauma. Trauma builds on itself each time the abuse happens. Trauma stays with us until we heal it. Even when we're out of the abusive situation, someone can innocently do/say something that can trigger us. That will most likely continue to happen until we start to actively heal our traumas.
If you aren't in therapy, please consider going to someone who is specially trained in trauma release & uses various healing modalities. They should have additional training, over and above what they got in school & what was required to get & renew their license. The yearly requirement for CEU's isn't enough specialized training. Sadly many therapists really don't understand the dynamics and effects of abuse.

Its also critical to practice extreme self care. Here is a link to a post with ways to practice self-care.

We all need support and we all feel needy at times and many of us don't like feeling that way. Its hard to trust those who offer to support us. So its also important to learn to trust ourselves & our inner knowing again. We lose that ability when we are in an abusive environment. But we can regain it. Therapy will help that too.
Take good care of you!!!
