A phobia (from the Greek "fear"), is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities, or persons. The main symptom of this disorder is the excessive, unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. When the fear is beyond one's control, or if the fear is interfering with daily life, then a diagnosis under one of the anxiety disorders can be made.

Does anyone else have emetophobia ? (fear of vomitng).
I have ad enough of this, I've ad it all my life, I'm 43 & i'm getting worse as I get older.
I also have ocd, germs/contamination. I fear getting germs & being sick.
I'm looking to chat to other sufferes & make friends xx

Hey guys. I too have been dealing with this since I was a young teenager....now I'm 29. I have learned to work around this phobia to actually live a relatively normal life. I used to have to know where the bathrooms were EVERYWHERE I went so if I needed to get sick....I could. I missed out on a LOT of things with friends growing up because of it. And on top of all that, never seemed to have anyone who understood. If anyone needs to talk.... I'm here. I still deal with it on occasion but I can tell you, it's gotten better for me. I hope it gets better for all of you at some point!! You deserve it! I know how awful the feeling is... TRUST me!

I have emet pretty severely. It has gotten alot worse in the past year. I also have panic disorder, so it triggers severe attacks. I tried some exposure t herapy, but it was too much for me at the time. There is a site-international emetophobia society, ppl there have helped me through severe panic many times.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
