I'm new here so hope it's ok to start a thread like this. Anyway - what pets does everyone have?
I have
1 x dogue de bordeaux - Lennox
2 x cavalier king charles spaniels (the old fashioned, large size, almost as big as a cocker spaniel - Barney and Charlie
2 x boxers - Hilda and Bogart
8 x rabbits - Tia, fudge, ebony, jim-bob, rex, rosie, ruby, heartly
7 x guinea pigs - Milo, thor, rhubarb, crumble, custard, pumpkin and pickles
6 x cats - Ozzie, Max, Molly, Jasper, Candy and Trudy
5 x rats - Bubble, Squeak, summer, suzie and splodge
2 x syrian hamsters - Honey and Chives
and an infestation of dwarf hamsters after taking in 8 rescues and ending up with 4 litters of 5,6,6 and 9!
All of these are rescue animals apart from 2 of the cats and Barney, my CKC spaniel!
Has anybody else got a menagerie? I'd love to have a horse, but unfortunatley can't afford one and would have nowhere to keep one, but who knows, maybe in the future!
I have a dog who is part Papillon and I think pomeranian. He is the smartest dog i have ever had and is absolutely adorable. I would like to get a bird soon and hamster in the future as well. I love all animals.
Two lovin kitties, one is 14 (calico female named Kitty Kat), and the other is a ginger 18 month old make, named Sammie. My only family, and the best friends I've ever had.
I have the monster of monsters, named Dylan! He's the most DOMINANT little gray & white studcat (or so he still thinks :) I've ever had. He sniffs cockily past his water bowl, only to to make himself quite at home with my gargle glass.
ha. boy do i belong on this thread! though right now its mostly cats, a year ago i still had a menagerie because i do rescue.
cat room consists of: orange and emerald who recently gave birth to polo a flame point siamese kitten; and an orange and a tiger kitten both of whom are anemic and too thin and on bottle feeds right now. patches normally, except he jumped out/fell out a window yesterday and is now running around outside. lol. tye who is a tiger stripe male and angel who is a gray and white tiger female.
indoor/outdoor are the twins who are orange and white stashy and stuey, and iggy a female tiger and bonnie a white ash wednesday kitty and princey a grey and white who doesn't like other animals and chompy/munchie who was bottle fed as a baby but who bites a bit and was returned when adopted.
outside only pretty much their own choice is ubu, who is my own pet, jorge, who is a large orange tabby, penny who is a torti siamese and then two others bruiser and prego who come over from the next street for food.
so that's eight in the cat room, five outside only (oh and a tiger one i fixed long ago but is missing and two cripples, so eight outside too i guess; and then six who are very much indoor outdoor - so 22 total, wow. and there are two others waiting to come over a calico and grey calico. and there is a combative black and white that needs to be placed somewhere. but they aren't here yet. however, some of these are adoptable and should empty out a bit.
i do rescue and the biggest problem with rescue is that some of the animals won't do well anywhere but here, so they get returned. i need to get space where they can live permanently as a sanctuary.
I have 7 rats! I hope you give them bottled water because if you give them tap water they get cancer. They eat a lot of human food cuz they are just like tiny humans :)
2 cats (orange tabby siblings named Pippin and Lilly), 1 cockatiel (Sunny), 1 parrotlet (Buddy) and 2 diamond doves (Hope and Joy). I adore all animals! I've had everything from mice, rats, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, and a variety of birds. I'd have to say my favorite pets are cats and birds, but I really enjoyed my rats when I had them. :)
I only have a couple of dogs..a chameleon (my new pet!) and a Betta Fish.. I used to have everything from Hamsters to Rabbits growing up though.. at one time I had quite a few pets..
I have two cats Nova and Cozy. Nova is the kitty you see in my profile picture and Cozy is a 16 year old Calico who turned mean after we got her fixed but has mellowed out a lot.
