The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

1 year ago yesterday, I had to have my beautiful Baby Girl, my service dog for anxiety/panic disorder PTS.  She was only 8 years old and I had had her since she was 5 weeks old.  I  had trained her myself for the things I needed her to do in relation to my disability.  She was so good and so perfect.  I miss her terribly.  I had her cremated and have her ashes in a lovely cherrywood box, on top of my bookcase. It has her picture in the front.  Yesterday was a very hard day for me.  Going out without her is a trial and coming home with her not here is a heartache.  This was on top of losing my son and dad in 2018, 3 months apart.  I've never felt so alone.

So very sorry for all your losses. Pets are family. We loved them very much and it's hard to let go. The last dog I had was chosen by my late husband to keep me safe when he was away on business. My husband passed away overseas. I had to put the dog to sleep he couldn't eat or breathe properly due to aggressive cancer. I cried when I asked him to lay down and we say our good bye. Sending hugs to you.

    I had gone to the grocery store.  When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute.  A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked.  I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds.  But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026.  I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away.  It was an ordinary middle age...
