I am so sorry to hear this. I didn't know her well, but we used to all be such a close family. It's hard when one of us dies because most of us think about it, but when someone follows through it makes the thoughts we've had all feel more real. I'm so sorry dear.

That is so sad. I can only imagine how you feel. Try not to let this terrible event be a reason to hurt yourself. I know you don't want this to be the reason you feel again, but maybe you should embrace the grief and let all your pain out through it. Let yourself cry, talk to others, write, etc. Maybe you can learn something from this, or help heal in any little way.
My heart goes out to all who knew her.

I'm just wondering what on earth Sweetness317 means by her cryptic comment. Seems to me it has nothing to do with the sorrow of losing a friend to suicide.
To ponygirl174: As a borderline who experiences extremes of emotions, including paradoxically numbness of emotions, I understand how you feel about why your friend's suicide seemed to trigger emotions in you. I've had similar things happen; several months ago I was feeling so low and empty, as if I had been voided of all feelings. Then a news story about a horrible car crash that killed several people caught my attention and as details emerged of their lives, I found myself weeping torrents of tears over these people whom I did not even know. The grief was real, yet I think it touched something on a deeper level in me that allowed me to cry when I had not been able to for awhile. I am sorry for the loss of Yvonne111, I know it must hurt very badly. I did not know her. But as others here have stated, it is very sobering to hear that someone carried through with what we all have thought of doing ourselves, it resonates deep within. I hope you allow yourself to move through your grief at your own pace, and you have my thoughts and prayers.

Marlena, basically, what I meant was when such a tragic event happens such as this, perhaps someone could have showed a tad bit more couth with the title instead of just saying she's dead. Perhaps something like, "We suffered a great loss in the DS Family," or at least something a little better than the subject.

I was wondering about the post also but sweetness317 has a point, I could of wordered it better, I just wasn't in the best fram of mind when I found out. It's hard to loose engorging, wonderful people in this world. All of the people I've "met" on this bord are wonderful. Hopfully it won't happen next time but if it does it will do good to use tact.

I think that anyone can be forgiven what he or she says during the initial shock of hearing of a loved one's death. It is not a time to sit and think logically about how to word something so that no one is offended. Logic does not even enter the picture when you are wracked with grief.

Marlena, I didn't once say she had anything to be sorry for or anything to need to be forgiven for. All I said was, it could have been worded differently. Learn from it, and move on. It's simple, really. I just think if she was held in such high regards, as YOU'RE making her out to be, perhaps it could have been written in a different way. How would you like it if you just got an e-mail from your mother that simply said, "John Dead," in the subject, obviously, supposing John is your father. Wouldn't you be a little offended that she couldn't write something a little more respectful? Just my .02.

I'm not offened by what SSweetness317 said. She has a valid point. If I took a minut to think about it I would oh come up with something more respectiful. It's to late to reword the tital or I would of done it. I'm human so I err. We all make mistakes anf if this happens the next time I or anyone reading this will learn a more tactful way to write this.

i have very mixed emotions about this. im numb to it, im saddened by it, and i'm kind of angry too. she told me a few times to keep trying and then she goes and just gives up. i'm not sure how take that. im sorry that she is gone. and im sorry that im angered by it.
