Can disorders go into remission?

I'm still withdrawing from society at large but the paranoia and suspicious behaviors are gone. Can medication block
your symptoms. I'm supposedly Schizoaffective with Schizotypal personality disorder and PTSD and insomnia and GAD but I have been feeling okay despite being in a depressive episode due to the bipolar....

I always thought that was why I took all this medication, to alleviate symptoms. :) I'm schizoid and Bipolar so I isolate to a great degree but I find that my anti psychotics and the benzos do alleviate some of the symptoms of the schizoid, namely the paranoia.

I guess I didn't really answer your question. I don't know about calling it "remission" but as far as personality disorders go they are caused by long term inappropriate coping skills and "abnormal" thought patterns. As we learn better coping skills and learn to change our thought patterns we get "better". That's what all the therapy is about. I would like to think that once achieved, that "wellness" would be permenant but I think that without constant monitering of our behavior we could easily slip back into bad pattens.

I always thought that I would forever suffer from schizotypal personality disorder. I never thought that once I was well
I was cured for good. When I am not on meds slipping
back into that paranoid state comes naturally.

I know my meds help with the paranoia but I think that given long enough with better thoughts (for lack of a better description) they stick better thanthey might have with therapy alone. Does that make sense? On the other hand, if the meds work, hooray!! They are good for something. :)

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
