This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
We just found out the Sunday before Christmas that my step-son molested (12) molested is 5 year old half-brother. We had to take my son to the ER that morning because SS had bit his penis and there was a sore on it and DS could not use the bathroom. We had our first interview with CPS on Tuesday, but DS wouldn't talk. We told them the story and also that SS had done this over a year ago to his half sister at his mothers house. ( it had gone un-reported, though we did put ss in counseling for that). It has now been 1 week since we met with CPS and we have heard nothing else. SS has yet to be questioned which really aggravates me because I told them I was concerned that he could have possible done something to my 7 year who is autistic and non-verbal. I'm amazed that something has not been done by now, and even more shocked that they told us it was our decision whether SS could be around our other kids for the holidays. I put my foot down and refused to let him be anywhere that me and my kids are, which has my husband angry at me. I'm just lost on what to do right now. I have a phone call into the guy from CPS because I'm confused on whether they are setting up the counseling for ds or if I am supposed to do it. I need to get into counseling myself because appearently I'm the only one who who feels that ss should NOT be around any other kids right now. My husband is making himself sick over this, and I'm really worried about his health, but he will not talk to me about anything. He blames me for SS not spending Christmas with us. My in-laws are so worried about SS and about people finding out that they don't even care how ds is. It is all about SS and it reallly is making me angry.
I have the worst feeling that this will be forgotten and I will be the bad guy again and have to keep reminding everyone that SS has problems and needs help. If it wouldn't had been for me the first time with his half sister, he would have never gotten therapy, which obviously did not help anyways.
I feel like I'm having a nervous breakdown. Waiting to see what is going to happen to SS. Waiting to see if it has happened more than we even know about. I'm planning on making myself a counseling appt. too, but waiting to see if I need to my ds one too. I just need someone to talk to that has been through this, and I'm so glad I found this place.

1st of all, how can they take away DH visitation? He has done nothing wrong to ss. I think that was just the step-dad trying to be all high and mighty. 2nd, yeah maybe it wasn't the best decision to leave ss to babysit that day. I know this now, but at the time, there was really nothing to be worried about. My dd who is 11 was here also, and it was for 2 hours in the middle of the day. We were 5 minutes away. Do I regret it now? Yes. But does that mean we knew ss would molest ds? absolutely not.
AS for the money issue, that is totally on them. We have told them twice now that the proper paperwork has to filed with insurance. It is not our fault they are too dumb to figure it out. And wouldn't a good dr. office take care of it? They didn't get a prior approval, which they should have known too, and now they need more paperwork. How hard is it?? But yet they had plenty of money to take ss to florida over spring break. So where are thier priorities, really?
As for us reporting to DCS, we had no choice. We had to take ds to the ER because ss bit his penis and left a sore. Step-dad was at our house that morning before we even went and knew what we were doing and even "advised" us to either have the hospital notify DCS or call them ourselves. He even gave DH the hotline number to call!!! He was on duty at the time and was reporting back to his boss on how we were going to handle this. And what we did was the RIGHT thing to do!!!
So they went to court on Wed. and the prosecutor dropped the ball and forgot to reassign another one to the case. There will be a meeting between lawyers and prosecutor next week to determine wheterh or not to move forward or dismiss the case. The lawyer for ss is saying it was not ss fault because it was brought on by ds.Which from what we hear is true. Ds told ss to suck his weiner or he wouldn't give him the xbox controller. But he only learned it from ss doing it to him before. Stupid
It's unbelievable to me that the prosecutors office forgot to reassign another prosecutor. How do they just forget a case completely? I really feel like it is all a set up. Step dad knows everybody at the court house and I'm sure he is pulling all the strings that he can. I'm not even sure if the prosecutors know that any of this happened before witha any of the other kids. I wonder if I try to call the prosecutor if they would talk to me? I know I wouldn't get anywhere with dcs. I just don't know anymore. I do know that I have predicted all of this from the very beginning. I should write a book on all I nave experienced this past year, I tell you, it is unbelievable.
