I had a horrible panic attack yesterday. It was so bad that it took my night meds about 4 or so hours to kick in before i could fall asleep.
When i first woke up, i felt basically on an even keel, but as the morning has gone on i am feeling such a tightness in my chest-a warning signal.
i am afraid of having another full blown attack today.
Afraid of fear.
Which may be setting myself up i guess...
i ws in such a bad state yesterday that i left two messages for my pyschiatrist/ therapist to call me even though we have a session this morning.
He called me back at the end of the day and was briefly able to reassure me about what triggered this attack,but i guess my adrenaline and cortisol were so high he couldn't entirely get through to me.
Anyway i finally fell asleep i guess.
But it was such a terrible day, and my level of anxiety now is ominous.
i don't know that i am asking anything here...just wanted to get this out somewhere i guess-

Yes, i know it sounds unbelievable that it could last hours but it did.
My OCD was triggered, so that is why i don't think i could calm down...and again, a surge of stress hormones.
