I miss the innocence of back when. We could take walks without fear. play hid n go seek and tag in the dark, ride our bikes in the road without helmets. The neighbors watched out for others and they could be trusted. Ice cream socials where they actually made ice cream while you watched or even helped. Children were made to mind but they also were safe and cared for. I miss so much.....

Do YOU really want to know? The vet came with this really long rubber glove went all the way up to his arm pit.. He would load up .. OH WELL I needn't go on Foxy - Use your "artificial insemination imagination!"

It didn't come cheap either. My Dad had to pay a "Stud Fee" up front! Never asked HOW - WONDER if they gave the Bull a SEXY magazine??!! HA HA HA!!

I had a back in the day memory tonight just watching X Factor - that kid Astro came out and rapped the Kris Kross song "Jump" and I was like "this is so middle school!" Took me right back to the long lines for Domino's pizza in the cafeteria (and they wondered why all the kids were getting so fat...hello?!), slap bracelets, and dicussions about what happened on a little known FOX teen soap serial (the 90210 predecessor) Tribes that my friend Paula got me totally hooked on. Were the early '90s really that long ago?!

Hey Honey! They (90s) can be "just yesterday" or "ages ago!" depending upon "what side of the bed you got up on today!!"

I have a major problem when I an talkin to people especially young people _ I keeo forgettin that I AM OLD!! (lol)

We learned about sex watching the animals, and about birth from the animals, too.

I remember when there was no cable TV< internet, cell phones, or video games except very slow Atari... and while the world was still a strange, violent, scary place, you only haerd that on the news for half an hour a day, not 24/7. I think we were a lot more polite back then, too.

My back in the day memory is about food. Anyone else remember when you'd go in the potato chip section and your choices would be ruffled, plain, and maybe sour cream and green onion? Now there's low-fat, low-sodium, baked, and/or flavors from slat and pepper, vinegar, cheddar, BBQ, sour crem/green onion, and probably more.... Forget it! I'll just eat some almonds! Wait, those now come in roasted, roasted salted, raw, smoked, spicy....ACK!

It bugs me that somgs from the '80s are considered "oldies". I remember the first time I heard "Purple Rain" be introduced on the radio as an oldie I freaked out - I was like, this song came out after I was born, how is it an oldie? I wasn't even 30 yet!

Back in the day, there were 4 of us that use to be together. Me, my best girlfriend and two brothers. We would go down to the two brothers house and sit on their front porch and play a game watching the cars go down the road. We each picked a certain car, and who ever had the most cars go by in a certain amount of time was the winner. We played hide and seek, hi water low water, mother may I, catch lighting bugs and put them in a jar with a lid with holes and we would play cards and table games. We would go to the play ground and ride our bikes out to the park and go on stage and sing. We had so much fun being kids, i feel sad for the kids today, if only they could know real fun.

I think that's WHY I think I enjoy Jesse J , Lady Gaga, Train & so many of the newer artistss as I have been "An Oldie" so long I get tired of hearin "The Oldies" sometimes!

You know you're getting old when you hear the music you enjoyed when you were younger being played as background music in stores. I noticed it one morning while i was shopping for groceries and ABBA was playing!

Was it original ABBA or a muzak version of ABBA? Because it is even worse when you hear the stuff you used to listen to when you were younger turned into instrumental drivel that gets piped into elevators, dentist offices, and played while you wait forever for someone to take your call.

The original ABBA. I heard the actors in the movie Momma Mia and decided I wouldn't see it. I don't want to hear the songs butchered by the actors.

Don't you ever miss the days when you could get lost for an afternoon...when we weren't so connected that we could be reached (and aggravated) at all times??
