I just went thru my 2nd of 6 rounds of chemo last Friday. The day of & day or 2 afterwards aren't too bad. What is killing me is the pain I feel in all my bones. This started a little bit Sunday, but was excruciating on Monday. It makes it so difficult to function. I can't hardly sleep because I can't get comfortable. Once I do, I sleep for maybe 1/2 hour then I'm awake again with aches & pains. Does anyone else experience this? I need to find something to alleviate the pain so I can get thru the days without feeling like I'm about to fall apart emotionally from the pain.
Thanks,
Patty

I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...
taking Claritin and Tylenol can help alleviate the pain. some also add Omeprazole, a reflux medication.
ask your doctor, he/she can't help if they don't know what's going on.
I've had a not so pleasant experience with one of my chemo drugs, Carboplatin. It makes me feel like I'm burning up & want to rip my clothes off. :) They have decided I need an extra dose of steroids prior to my chemo. So now, 12 & 6 hours before chemo, I have to take 3 pills. For someone who's never had any health issues, I'm sure having them now. :)
