Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

Does anyone else get intrusive thoughts about there being poison in their food? Even if I make something at home I get scared one of the ingredients was poisoned at the grocery store or that I didn't cook the meat properly. If fast food tastes different I get scared of there being poison or that it will hurt me. Last night I made homemade chicken noodle soup and I started getting panic attack symptoms right after eating it because I was scared. Does anyone else struggle with this?

Actually, our Governor called a State of Emergency. I pray that my electric doesn't go out. I had already planned to stay home all weekend to recuperate from a cold and do online training for my job. That will take many hours. I am worried for the outside kitties. I hope your weekend goes better for you.
