Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
I'd check with your doc to see how long it takes for the meds to get out of your system. Some that I've been on take even longer than a month. Try to be patient with yourself and I hope your husband is kind enough to be patient with you. Sex drive isn't something we can just flip on and off when we want to so I'm thinking you probably just need a little more time. Also did you stop your meds yourself because of this or did you come down off of them w/your doc? Be honest with your doctor about stopping them. If you aren't comfortable talking to him/her maybe you could see someone else that you are. They can't help if they don't know what is really going on.
I wish you felt better and could enjoy being a wonderful 183!!! I'd trade with you in a heartbeat except I wouldn't wish this body on anyone.
I really hope you feel better soon!!! Take care of yourself. XOXO
I do agree that a more active lifestyle may help with your libido. You'll feel better physically and mentally, so this will boost your spirits all the way around. You'll feel better about yourself because you'll notice a difference in your body, hence, feeling sexier.
Good luck...on both counts:)
I found that even when we did have sex I was not really into it. This book has got me back into it.
Thing 1. Wellbutrin KILLED my sex drive. Plus when I went off w/my docs help it took soooo long for it to come back.
Thing 2. Do you think your husband talking about your "big fat gut" could have anything to do with it? OMG! What kind of thing is that to say to you especially when you are trying so hard to help satisfy him??? I think a little support would help more than hearing negative things about your body!
Let me throw in a thing 3...I know you don't want to but I still really think you should be honest w/your doc. They are there to help you. It isn't like they are doing it for free so they better not be judging you but looking out for your best interest and this is a serious issue! Maybe you should see your regular doc just to check you out and make sure everything is physically okay. Even though that sucks more than the pdoc!!! At least in my opinion lol :)
I'm really sorry you are going through this. I know it isn't easy. Hang in there!!!
