I just find it hard to wrap my head around the idea that you can't mention weight loss or ask for healthy options here. We all struggle with so many things when there is a weight issue. So, then you make someone feel even worse by trying to make them feel unwelcome? I can tell you, that hurts WAY worse than merely disareeing with my opinion.
I think, caru, if YOU aren't getting what YOU need, then YOU my friend are the one who should leave. This gruop has been tuned into a ridiculous mess. And now, a lot of US have been relegated to private messaging...so not to be publicly chastized. That's just not right. So in your quest to make this a "safe" place...it seems you've done quite the opposite.
This is, just my opnion.
It a shame that u would post this message and it seems to me that u are holding some kind of grudge maybe u were upset at someone else and decided that this was ur release?
If we all stayed on this forum its because we have made good friends and have found SUPPORT. not tips to lose 5lbs. The majority here have a long journey including myself or they have gone thru it. so let it be...
Prayers go out to each of u, in all ur weight loss goals.

With regard to people who who used to be heavy but arent anymore... I think those people should stay here as long as we can have them! They understand what I'm going through because they've been there themselves AND they figured out some way of losing their weight!
I dont know where the cutoff is for "obesity", but I would imagine, if you are someone who doesn't have very much experience with being overweight (ie, highest weight ever was still relatively normal) then if you want to hang out on this site, maybe that person could be extra sensitive about giving really strong advice/opinions since they may not know the full position someone heavier finds themselves dealing with.
I know that before I got really heavy, I was just semi-overweight and I had no clue how disabling and discouraging it actually becomes. Being morbidly obese isnt just being fat-- you are also overwhelmed by what are otherwise routine daily things... things that someone who just isnt at their ideal weight has no clue about having to deal with.
I gained back 50. Lost 45, and darned if I didn't mess up and gain back 20. Now, I'm trying again.
Caruth, you are hurting people. The helpless rage you feel about your own weight problem will not be eased by projecting it on to other people. I hope you are able to receive counselling, somewhere you can unburden yourself, someone who can hear your pain.
I wish you the very best of everything. Love and hugs to you.
I have been called morbid obese. Its an ugly term but medically thats what they call my condition. I have Polycystic Ovarian syndrome which fights me every step of the way. Today the doctor told me to get the bypass surgery ASAP! I don't know that the surgery is for me.
