Not even sure what to say. I'm embarrassed & humiliated of my weight now & how I look. I don't dare to even look in the mirror any more. I despise what I see. I'm a recovering addict. Now 7 yrs. clean so doctors won't even consider giving me any sort of a diet pill & I honestly understand why they wouldn't. I'm in this wheel chair, can barely make any steps at all, only mainly to the bathroom. Sometimes I just wish I would pass away in my sleep. I am that miserable. I'm trying everything to lose this weight but exercise is nearly impossible but I still keep trying. I was ready to throw in the towel but decided to give it one more try. So I googled help with obesity & discovered this site. I'm completely oblivious as to how this site even works yet. Don't know how to make friends. Heck I've not even figured out how to get my profile pic on yet even tho I've loaded them. But I'm here.....giving it one more shot. I really need an understanding friend. Surely someone cares. I'm just very depressed. Guess that's it for today. God bless all, much respect, Tam

It is also hard when our body hurts. My left leg has been hurting for a month and it is bad when we can't move like we want to.
Please just take it slow. Try to eat healthy, lean meat, veg and fruit. Drink water and easy on the bad stuff. I do eat a little bad stuff, or else I will binge later, and that is not good. Try for portion control. Maybe try some chair excercises if you feel up to it.
Just take one day at a time and try to stay positive. Do hobbies that make you happy and keep you busy.
Post your journey and we will cheer each other on.
It is not easy, but nothing worthwhile in life is. Lets make it a lifestyle change so something we can live with.
My best to you and just make small goals, so then it is not so overwelming.
First congratulations on seven years clean and sober! I recently got pills from my dr and I was so excited. Short version, didn't work for me. I want a magic solution and I haven't found one.
Welcome....I don't know how to work this site yet but found the people to be friendly and accepting> I care about you...you touched my heart. I'm on the site for depression also and I don't know how to work that one either. I just started in a fitness chair exercise group and I like it. Can you go out at all or stuck at home? I can't drive so I have to get rides. I'm celebrating the loss of ounces....medis make it hard for me to loss weight. I can be your friend if you want?
