Hello, I'm Beth. I'm 15 and weigh 305 pounds. I have started to exercise, and I'm trying to eat a little healthier, but it is just so hard. Like today, my mom ordered takeout, and it was so hard not to eat a lot. I'm actually proud of myself. I had half of a dinner serving of General Tso's and fried rice, then later I was still hungry so I had 2 pieces of pizza. But with the exercise, it is so hard. I've been walking between 15-30 minutes a day, and I'm not burning as many calories as I want. I know that in order to burn more calories I need to walk longer, but I just have no energy or motivation after school. I guess right now I just need a support buddy or something. Or just advice. I'm ranting, I know. But I just needed to. Thanks for reading!

Does your mom or other family members need to lose weight? Its good for everyone to eat healthier no matter if they have a weight problem or not but if your mom is ordering take out when you are trying to diet, it isnt really fair to you. Can you talk to her about having better food in the house?
Come here and vent, rant, ramble, whatever you need to do, anytime. We are all here for the same reason. We get you! Maybe you can join in on weekly weigh ins also. We started doing a daily check in and if you want to let us know whats going on with you every day, that would be cool. There is also another group where we keep track of our calories, carbs, points (whatever method you are using) daily. If you are interested in doing that, go to my profile and at the bottom of all the groups I belong to, click on Food Journal and you will be brought to the page and you can join up.
Look forward to getting to know you! Jen

I would say at 15 your body is still growing and changing and needs energy to do that. So don't restrict too much. Try to have longer acting types of food like whole grains, fruit and veg etc.
Also, at 15 life is not great for many people. But it will get better when you get older and start making choices for yourself. So don't be too down on yourself. Concentrate on getting good grades and getting out of school.
