Small fiber neuropathy

I have just been diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy. I have been experiencing symptoms for a long time now but just in the last 6 months have they interfered with my life and made me want to find answers. Still no idea what is causing it but I have lab work today. My neurologist did not explain a lot to me but he prescribed me nourotin (spelling may be off) Is anyone else taking this and I am curious to see what kind of progression people have had with this. Mine stayed consistent for so long and then all of a sudden got extremely worse with many more symptoms. I have been in good health for the most part other than the tingling pricking feeling in my feet and legs until this year when things progressed. Anything anyone would like to share with me would be wonderful!

I just want to thank you gking...why because I was a goodie too shoes...and didn't do nothing....bad or whatever anyone would say as bad growing up...I look back and I think I should of had some bad drinking times..or whatever....because now it is full of shit what we go thru...and at least you got good times to remember....I have raising 5 kids and all the hell my boys put me thru...but still...should of taken time for me.
Gosh this does should poor me...but not no way.............I guess I wanted to tell you that don't blame all what you did on drinking....you enjoy yourself and this could of happen just the same....I am testment to that....boy am I....so I didn't drink or smoke I can't breath without oxygen....and I have problems with my neuropathy and don't understand it...
it's like the long distance runner so healthy etc. and still drops dead from heart attack hard to beleive you can do everything good...and still get sick!!!!!!!
so don't be hard on your self please................
