Has anyone had similar experiences?
...standing in the Library reading a book dozed off until I left myself begin falling forward...sitting at the dinner table, zoning out, dosing off until the kids say mom mom mooooom...at a stop light I awaken with a jolt to find I had fallen asleep.. looked around and forgot where I was... in the shower, at my desk, in the doctors office ( I can imagine what that receptionist was thinking )....not to mention I also have expierence when there's a sudden onset of extreme drowsiness where I physically cannot keep my eyes open. It isn't debilitating, but it is frustrating. I have had 3 sleep tests done one at a sleep center and one with a sleep neurologist and the results were inconclusive so nothing was named, no orders were given... They prescribed Modafinil which helped for a while...
In times past I would notice evidence that I was up in the night without memory of it ( I would awake to find my laundry folded, or wake up in different pajamas, etc ). This also showed in 1 sleep study.. but lately Im sleeping well through the night.. And as a new addition, I have started having sleepy-dreamish sleep parallesis falling partially into dream sleep while being awake but cant move my arms, legs, open my eyes or speak... just this moaning or very slight movement begging for someone to wake me fully up. Even if they did I would change positions and fall right back asleep into same dream same state of parallesis.. sometimes its up to 20x a night that this happens.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
I take it one bout at a time.
When I was studying I couldn't sit to read, or stay in the quiet area of the library. I would read and research when most alert and have to break off at those time I could feel the overwhelming need to sleep.. i really do hope you find your answers and wish you luck for the future.
