Hi! I just joined because I was looking for advice to get tested for Narcolepsy. For over a year now I have been researching Narcolepsy because I am tired all the time, and I found out that I fit with a lot of the symptoms that happens with Narcolepsy. I also took a lot of quizes to back myself up, and I do know that it doesn't fully mean I have Narcolepsy, but on every test it says I should check with a Doctor. The issue is that my brothers girl friend has Narcolepsy, so if I try to get tested for this everyone is going to think that I'm trying to get attention and that I'm lying. It doesn't help that I'm only 15, so everyone could think that I accually didn't do any researching. Please give me suggestions on what to do!!!

At 15, you are plenty old enough to ask for a private talk with your doctor, Morgsters. The doctor you usually go to is an ideal place to start in sorting through the details of getting a Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) which is the most common tool used to diagnose Narcolepsy in my circles.
It doesn't hurt to ask, any more than it hurts to get a check-up.
