Last year I realized that I have an episode and pull my original problem muscle once every winter.
Maybe it's because I've become aware that the cold messes me up or maybe it's because I actually am getting worse, I'm not sure, but this year the cold seems to be affecting me more.
It's difficult in the morning particularly because I'm so stiff when I wake up. Everything hurts right away. I used to reset at night and be good in the mornings and things would get worse as the day progresses, but now everything is bad as soon as I wake up.
I attempt to work out in the morning before I start my day. I do in-home walking and the stepper along with band work but it's taking me like 10-15 minutes to be able to move enough to actually get warm and sometimes I can't get warm enough to have a workout.
I seem to be more tired too - this could be due to a lot of things though but the stiffness plus the tiredness is making getting going in the morning a process.
I'm just really frustrated with everything right now and I feel like I'm getting worse but I can't go to anyone because no one cares.

Usually I find the origin pain is in the shoulder area, and when I get those loosened, the rest follows the leader.
Best wishes.
One thing to think about is switching your routine around, or maybe take some medication before getting up to help you complete your exercise. I'm impressed you can do it all first thing, I'm the opposite and do it all at night. I think my internal body clock broke some time back!!!
The tiredness is important - if your energy levels are being drained it's time to look at everything again and try and find an answer. Has anything changed that's affecting your emotions or stresses? They can affect our energy levels so much.
And one final really practical point - make sure you set all your heaters to keep your environment warm.
Hope you find the answer soon
I usually exercise after I've had plenty of coffee and I'm feeling warm. Sometimes a shower helps.
I hope you feel better soon. We care how you're doing.
I'm a very routine oriented and my schedule only works if I work out in morning. My husband once suggested I try exercising later but it just doesn't work with my work schedule. I like to come home and relax at the end of the day rather than have another to-do.
Unfortunately, I live out in the country and my house is heated by propane which is more expensive than electricity so I don't get to keep my house warm unless I want to pay a $500 bill. It's lame.
I think Zingara is right about my energy being drained because my muscles are so tight. I've also just been in a crummy mood latley because I"ve been re-evaluating my condition, updating my pain journal and trying to figure out if I've improved or am getting worse and my findings are not promising.
Pumpkin31, you are dead-on when it comes to this condition messing with our heads, even the possibility that things are worsening is making me go nuts.
I'm just frustrated and confused and that's how it's always been with this condition and it's just upsetting me.
