Rosie is correct Azithromycin COULD be very bad for your MG. Please contact your MD ASAP about this medication. I would stop using the medication.
Hope the cold gets better soon and zero complications.

We too often see this mistake with MD's and pharmaist.
Lessen learned is to always have available the list of medications you should never use or only with caution. You can find the list at the following link..http://www.dailystrength.org/groups/myasthenia-gravis-links-and-news/discussions/messages/14144382
The "New links and news" is full of information and documents that you may find helpful to prevent this type of mistake again in the future.
Isn't nice to know that at least you knew to share the information with the group and you got the quick reply from Rosie.

So do - some brands of stomach and heartburn meds.
Whether it is in liquid form, or tablet.
Yes - check that list of pills & meds -
- that are contra-indicated for MG'ers.

My neurologist told me that it made sense to stay out of crowds, away from folks who were sick (although I guess sitting in the waiting room at the clinic must be OK ;-) and to use hand sanitizer often as prednisone knocks down my immune system and of course the MG makes everything worse on its own. She said that something otherwise minor, like a cold, might bring me to the emergency room. Hand to mouth transmission is a big route for germs and viruses, so the hand sanitizer is important.
