I had a thymectomy in June of this year. I was very nervous but glad it was done. My surgeon said that I had the biggest thymus he has ever seen. Recovery was not that painful. I still take my meds I really don't feel any better.

I am having Robotic surgery in Houston, Texas. This is the best inavasive surgery yet. Approx. 1 hour surgery and 24 to 48 recovery. The name of the machine is called the Di Vinci. Find a thorasic surgeon that has done this procedure. I found one in Houston, Texas and I am from Buffalo, New York. I hope this helps anyone that is considering surgery :)

I just had my tymectomy on the 5th of September. I take a lot less mestinon since, but I'm also not really doing much in a day. I hope it helps in the long term, but so far I am glad I did it. I haven't had any breathing trouble since, didn't even have to go to ICU while I was in the hospital.

I just had Robotic surgery for a thymectomy in Houston, Texas. The surgery was one hour with success and I was released the following day. I then flew back home one week after surgery after a check up appoitment with the surgeon. I wish more people would have this inavasive surgery. I do feel an immediate difference but this may vary from person to person!!

Im ready to start...
