Hi Guys. Been away from the site recently because of severe crisis. I have been having alot of PLEX's over the last 5-10 years and have found recently that I am becoming very neutropenic about 2 weeks after a set of 4 exchanges. I know that the exchanges are removing antibodies but haven't heard of any other people experiencing significant neutropenia post treatments. Anyone else on regular treatments experiencing the same thing? I went today for my chemo at exactly 3 weeks post my last exchange and was sent home because my immunity is still too low. The PLEX seems to lower my counts more than the chemo does which I find strange. Perhaps the low counts are from all the cumulative treatments??

The last time I had plex the nurse said plex can cause all your blood counts to be off. So it is a possibility. I have to wonder though at the amount of chemo you have had and all you have been through. Maybe your are right and it is a cummulative effect.
