I definitely met some MG sufferers that did not present with ocular symptoms. Did they test all the antibodies yet? electromuscular tests (I think that's the word in English)... If there is no identifyable antibodies hinting at MG, there are unfortunately a myriad of other disorders one could have, presenting with muscular weakness.
I'm sorry, there is such trouble with your diagnosis. :(
Most of the things that people suggest are to "improve" or stimulate the immune system. We have the opposite need, to dampen it.

Prednisone, at least for most of us, unless it is quite high dose takes at least many weeks--I started at 20 and about 3 months later at 60/day finally felt like it was working -- then I could taper down greatly (slowly).
