I'm a nurse in surgery. I assist the Drs.
in surgical procedures. I work PT but one
day a week & every 6th weekend I'm "on call" which means I work anytime of the
day or night if there is an emergency proc.
Those days can be very hard, (I've already had to put in a 20hr day)but
I'm blessed with great people to work
with.

I was diagnosed right after college. I went ahead and started working and continued to work as an Occupational Therapist for seven years. I did slowly cut back on my hours though. My fatigue was just too much at times. I certainly could relate to many of the patients I worked with who had various disabilites. My job was somewhat stressful because it involved a lot of travel in lots of traffic, time contraints and varying work places and conditions. Then I got married and had two kids (now 3 and 5) and had relapses after each pregnancy. I am now home with my kids, (my husband is the breadwinner) which is what I want to do right now anyway. I do hope to go back to work someday, but don't know if I will have the ability/energy when that time comes. I think it is possible though, becasue I feel better right now than I have in years. I was actually looking at job openings earlier today just to check it out.

I am artistic trainer(hairdresser) in a upscale salon. still work full time for now. owner is very understanding and works with me when Im not feeling well.

I am a chemist working in the QC pharmaceutical sector. My job is only stressful when I make it so. I can stand or sit for bench work and same for computer work, half of my day is paperwork at my desk. I have been putting in 50 hrs/week and I think that is affecting me, but I enjoy their A/C for free. When I can't work, I will be lost.
