My current favourite is
'Those who mind, don't matter.
Those who matter, don't mind.'
When I was first dx my mantra was 'I have Ms , Ms doesn't have me'
and I found it very encouraging.
"It's just another boil on the butt of life. It may be painful, but it won't kill ya."
Gentle hugs, Linda
...until being strong is the only choice you have."
Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.
Some day everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.
In order to be walked over, you have to be lying down!
Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step. Dr. Martin Luther King.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are timey matters compared to what lies within us. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Even if you all on your face you are still moving!
Life is about choice. You can choose to be a victim or anything else you like to be.
Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not how you planned, but just how it's meant to be.
Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you represents determination; the way you play it is free will.
When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you are down there.
Sorry, I just love inspirational quotations and keep a log of those that are special to me. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
Today I shall be witty charming and elegant...or maybe I'll say "um" a lot and trip over things.
It takes skill to trip over flat surfaces.
Gentle hugs and a sense of humor, Linda
"When fear knocks, let faith answer the door".
"True strength isn't when you face down life's challenges on your own. It is when you take them on by accepting the help, faith, and love of others, knowing you are lucky to have those people in your life."
It's me,SharonMom---Debbie. I read your post and I have a couple of wise sayings for you. How about:
"We have no control over the cards that we are dealt in life, only how we play the hand." And:
"Life is NOT about living forever, it's about making the journey REALLY count."
And then there's a little poem that I memorized when I was a senior in High School, which was 28 years ago (I am getting OLD!):
"The purpose of life is NOT to be happy,
The purpose of life is to be productive, to MATTER, to have it make some difference that you live at all.
Happiness is given only to those who use to the fullest whatever talents God, or luck, or fate bestowed upon them."
I hope you enjoy these sayings! Debbie
