There is a sub-group here for people suffering with MS pain. Try taking a look and see if anything helps you:

What I've found is that it happens 90% of the time when I'm sitting. Rarely happens when standing. One time I was sitting in a friend's home and put an extra pillow behind my back and it helped. But that doesn't always work.
I've put an ice pack on it and usually that helps, as long as I keep laying the arm on the ice pack.
Hope this helps.
Gentle hugs, Linda
Linda, "muscle"... "being torn off the bone" was a good description! I couldn't even explain the pain! It is such a deep intense pain. I just didn't have the words...but, your words are a good description of it!
It has been happening all night, and now again today. I do think it is another ms thing. I didn't "do" anything to cause the pain. And, like I said...it is random. Goes away, and then comes back! Just weird!
I will be seeing the neuro in two weeks, I will definitely mention this too! Another issue to my list of "talk to the doc" about!
Thanks again friends!
It does help to know I am not alone in this crud!

I am always afraid I will overlook heart attack or stoke signs because of my MS.
So, keep that in mind with arm pain.
But yes, I get the arm pain, with it feeling like the muscle is being pulled off the bone. Lovely feeling eh?
