A few months ago I finished up my 20 physical therapy appointments, and I was walking really well. Then I stopped moving. All I was doing was sitting on my bed watching shows on my laptop. Needles to say my walking has become difficult. I have all the tools I need to walk better and I wasn't doing them.
Plus this week I was using my wheelchair just because I was being lazy. That my walking with my arm crutches very difficult. So tonight I decided to get up and move.
So tonight I took a walk around my court yard. I only went around once, but it's a start. I also did some stretching. I'm going to try to do it all over again tomorrow night. I also found some awesome seated chair exercises on line. I just need to do them.
I guess it's true when they say use it or loose it.
Keep moving with me everyone

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I started walking for exercise a couple of years ago. I started small - about 10 minutes a day then built it up so I now do about 40 minutes.
It is often hard work but the benefits are wide ranging - and not just for the effects of MS.
I am very lucky because my personal trainer will not let me miss a single day. (She has 4 legs and a tail ! )
Tomorrow I will do some PT and some seated chair exercise
I really see the need for continuing to do my physical therapy and exercise. Mobility is the key for me any way.
I hope everyone moved today!
I have been doing less walking the last few months because I have been unemployed and therefore not going to work every day.
So, I now need to work on upping my exercising this summer!
Hopefully I will get some exercise and PT in today.
