Those of us in the states are being hit with this awful heat so I would like for you guys to put your thinking caps on and let me know if there are areas in the US where it doesn't get too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter and the cost of living is not through the roof. I know that's a big order but if anyone can come up with an answer, you guys can!

Well, for fun I suggest those looking to relocate for health reasons to Google, Sequim, Washington. It is situated on the Straight of Juan De Fuca and has a breath taking view of the Olympic Mountain Range. It is in what our weather people call the, "Banana Belt," and gets less rainfall per year than San Fransisco. It has some wonderful restaurants and decent shopping, but is still a small town. There is no crime to speak of and it's a friendly place. I lived there for many years. Lots of folks enjoy retiring there. Due primarily to the weather. You will not need a snow shovel in the winter and in the summer you can get by with fans and having the windows open. So like I said Google it and see for yourself! Hugs to all, Catht

My brother just moved to Portland. It sounds MS friendly. He said people were dying form the heat 81 degrees that day.

@gazo: at least in Kangaland, you have socialized medicine. We can get sponsored to move over there so may be looking into it if we can get our place sold here.

Western Colorado has a great climate most of the time. We get pretty hot but we usually have minimal humidity so the heat is very tolerable.

haha yes come to kangaland people from all over the world are always welcome down under.

We are indeed so fortunate to have free health care here, albeit we do pay slightly higher taxes so some might argue we pay for it.
