Hi there
Has anyone ever experienced pain in their hips to the extent that they feel like vomiting from the pain or passing out. I have been battling with this now for over three years and it is getting progressively worse. My GP says that i should go to my Physio, but all that does is leads to pain, where I cannot get off the bed without assistance and then the pain in my hip comes back.
I have noticed that the pain is also now moving from my right hip to the left.
I have reached the point where I mix my own meds to get the strongest dosage of pain killers.

I am also now starting to loose strength in my legs, we went to a Medieval Fayre this weekend, I fell flat on my face trying to walk up a small incline, I was not able to get myself up, even with the help of my husband and my cane. A stranger had to help!!!

I hate this bloody disease, it takes away so much.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

So sorry. Do steroids help at all?

I have been on a short course of Medrol, it did help with the symptoms, but once I was off the meds, the symptoms came back. I have mailed my Neuro for assistance, but still waiting.

Suffering from a bit of Anxiety as well, hopefully he will get back to me soon.

I am so sorry you are in so much pain & falling in public sucks!! I'm sorry this happened to you. Have you tried solumedrol-that sometimes helps give me a boost. My Neuro had me doing a once a month maintenance of solumedrol for about 6 months straight & it helped. Only stopped because of distance to clinic-now I found a pain specialist that specializes in M.S. he's only 20 min away. Hope you get

One of the first delibitating symptoms of MS was pain for me. I would lay in bed crying with pain as I could get no relief with Tylenol, advil, motrin, aleve, etc. By crying to my neuro, he recommended that I see a Pain Management Specialist. I did, and it was the best thing I ever did to treat the symptom of pain in MS. We worked together with some non-narcotic pain medications first. For me, that did not work. I had to move on to narcotic pain pills. Now I take Oxycotin time released daily and Percocets as needed. I do not get a "buzz" from these medications, and am not zoned out. Together we have found the right dosage for me. This has changed the quality of my life. Please see a pain management specialist and at least discuss your options.

There is a sub-group here called MS People Dealing with MS Pain. Go to the top right hand side of the page and you will see "Groups". Click that, and it will take you to all the sub-groups in the MS category. Look for the MS People Dealing with MS Pain subgroup. Hopefully you will find someone else dealilng with what you are and you might find some interestering information and help.

I have a baclofan pump. It helps. Next time they are putting pain meds in the mix. I too have pain almost always. Makes me feel crazy.
