I've noticed that a lot of people have mentioned other health issues they are struggling with - as if MS weren't enough! Epilepsy, Fibromyalgia, etc. If you don't mind saying, what are some of the other conditions/illnesses you are struggling with? And has your doctor said if they are more common in people with MS? For example, my doctor says my sleep disorder is much more common in people with MS. Just wondering.

I also have a blood disorder called hemochromatosis. (too much iron)

Hemochromatosis caused by defect in gene called HFE which helps regulate iron.
I know if you take calcium with iron then the two bind together and you pass it. I wonder if your calcium or other vitamin and mineral levels are??
If taking calcium would help or NOT.

Many women with IC/PBS have other conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and fibromyalgia. Scientists believe IC/PBS may be a bladder manifestation of a more general condition that causes inflammation in various organs and parts of the body.
Researchers are beginning to explore the possibility that heredity may play a part in some forms of IC.
IBS is helped with Probiotics that increases absorption..I wonder TW5. Have you ever been on Refrig Probiotics?? If so what were the results?

This is my 1st post. The doctors thought I had MS, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue.
After 2 years I finally was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
Lyme Disease is called the great imitator.
Many people are diagnosed with MS, Parkinsons, Lupus, Altzheimer's, arthritis, etc.
Lyme disease can appear as white matter on MRI's.
It is hard to get a diagnosis for lyme. The only good test I know of is the Western Blot performed by Igenex.
Most people with Lyme get a negative when their blood is sent to other labs.
If you go to Lymenet.org, www.lymefighters.org, or the Lymediseaseassociation, or www.lymediseaseassociation.org and check your symptoms, you may be surprised if some of you match.
I am now on high doses of antibiotics and am no long falling and no longer using a cane.
If you go into the forums, many people were first diagnosed with MS before finding out they had Lyme.
If it is indeed Lyme, you won't ever get better unless you get proper treatment.
