snerk!
I have memory problems with spelling and even just getting the word out at times. I notice it more at night or when I'm tired or have over extended myself.
It seems like there is a bottleneck effect that happens and every thing stops moving fluidly. I have number problems too and transposing words on signs which can be pretty funny at times. Like Car Wash reads like Crash- it's wierd.
I try to let the "bottleneck" loosen up when I notice it and am able to slow myself/my expectations down and take a breath. It seems like it's always an adjustment. And hey isn't that why someone invented spellcheck!?!!! Now if they could come up with a thinkcheck!
Gentle hugs, Linda
I ahve been mixing names up and just not being able to think of the things name.
And look at 'have' ! I type stuff in the wrong order all the time.
My great neuro doc said this problem levels off and he is right. I was dx w/ MS 15 yrs. ago and I agree.
My handheld limits me so I'll quit now. Best wishes to you.
I don't think I was ever a "hot" speller even before MS
I tried to blame the problem on writer's block or stress, but I'm sure (as I say in the penultimate Blog paragraph) that it's the MS.
Slowing down the whole thinking and writing process helps, as does avoiding stress at least when word selecting.
