I am so sick of hearing "how are you feeling, you look good!" I also do not want to sound like a complainer griping everyday about how yucky I feel. But, everytime I am having a real bad day my husband turns it around to be all about him. Like his arm was hurting real bad all day, but he just kept going and didn't complain about it. And I am like "Congrats! Do you want a freakin sccoby snack?" Anyways....can so relate

When I told my ex(my daughters dad) that my neuro thinks it's MS he casually turned around and told me that artificial sweeteners are causing MS like symptoms in people. Blah blah blah. Frikkin jerk. Not to mention that I can't stand faux sugar. LoL

LOL feisty, I could tell my hubby that i caught MS from him, cause we both "do" have it. I am kind of glad we both have it, (not all days) because we know what one another is going through, and we understand totally. We are "soul mates"

see, my boyfriend can joke about it. the day i found out and was really upset, he said he shouldn't sleep with me because he didn't want to 'catch' MS. i thought it was hilarious and was what i needed.

but, it has to be the right time for those jokes.

My husband has a family member who will say things like "oh shit I forgot to do that maybe I have M.S. or im sooooo tired and my leg hurts think its ms and i can get a free get out of work card" At first i got angry but then i learned that there are ignorant people out there who will say stupid stuff.The more I stress out about it the worse i feel physically and so i let it go.

yess.. I totally know what you mean.. my mom once joked around saying I'm getting a big headache maybe I should get an MRI... and my dad started laughing and said maybe it MS... and I was in the car and I laughed it off.. but I was like do they think my having MS is a joke? but I know they don't because that happened on the day of one of my doctor appointments... so they were probably just trying to make the day a humorous...

Ahhhhhh heck, like naureenm said, some folks aren't good at making jokes, esp when they feel a bit on the helpless side. They choke on their toes & feet just like we do. Am I going to start a battle every time they do, no. If I'm not perfect, how can I expect the rest of the world to be?

We apparently all have them. The inconsiderate slobs who don't get it. My favorite is: when will you get over it and get back to work? I'm going to start carrying around the brochures that explain MS (for children) and handing them out.LOL. H
