He truly is immature and maybe not ready for a relationship. Remind him you are NOT his mother!!!!!!!!!!
He clearly is not grown up and it is even clearer that mommy spoiled him. He probably never lifted a finger in his birth home.
Good luck to you!
However, I will say, that relationships are about balance and helping each other out, understanding and honesty. Disability can add a heavy strain that it takes a strong relationship to endure. If your relationship is this strained now with this level of disability, what will happen in the future? You should both sit down and discuss this and decide if the relationship is worth fighting for.
I have been married a long time. I have some of the same problems now since I was diagnosed in 2004. Chronic illness can change relationships and it has mine. We have been going to counseling. Perhaps that could be something that you two may want to consider, if you think he is worth it. My hubby needs to "man up" for sure and pick up the slack that I can no longer do....but from an article I read(that was posted here)men have a harder time taking on the "care giver" role than women.
I don't know the answer to your problem, much less mine, but I know that YOU deserve better and can kick him to the street, since you are the one that is basically supporting him. Mine is more complicated cause I still have a child at home and depend on my spouse financially. I also have a lot of years invested in hubby, who is a good man and I do love him, but he just doesn't understand MS.
Take care of YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get out now before you become embedded in this relationship to the point of no return. Take it from and "old bitch" that has been there and is still doing it.
(((hugs))) to you my friend!
