I have always had chronic pain in both my legs and my fatigue is chronic as well. I'm only good for any activity for 3 hrs at most. This is just regular stuff, certainly not exercise or any thing strenuos. I'm always laying down sometimes sit in the chair but for the most part I'm always laying on the couch or my bed. I honestly do feel bad mostly everyday. I have to make myself get up , sower etc. I find all this to be tiresome and some days I just don't do it. I know I have some depression along with this too so that doesn't help matters. I'm just feeling low on how I'm becoming. I mean what a deadhead. I do volunteer some but that's only good for 6 hrs a week Can anybody else relate? How do you go on with a life when you feel sick all the time? I don't want this to control my life but I believe I'm headied straight in that direction :((

Thanks Timetraveler. I think my MS is very stable, just got hit with it and its never gone away but havent had any really bad relapses. It Is What It Is. Best Wishes, Im going to bed . Good night everybody :)

I spend a lot of time in bed also. Pain in my back, shoulders and legs is my major factor. I get horrible locking leg cramps that hurt so much. I have a 3 story house and I do climb the stairs as much as possible and I do cook for the family every night and I home-school my 3 younger kids. My idea is if I stop moving completly because it hurts, I WILL not be able to move at all. Being a progressive diesease, as depressing as it is, we MUST keep the muscles moving! Even just a little bit! I try to do whats best for them regardless of how I feel.
But, I can relate... There are sometimes days when I can't even change out of my pajamas, I certainly cannot go downstairs (bedroom and master bath upsatirs) and just the thought of taking a shower makes me want to pass out. YET... I cannot sleep well at night!!! Thats what kills me! Like last night. I was in so much pain. I had spasms that racked my chest cavity making it very difficult to breath. Kinda like having a bad case of the hiccups after running a marathon. I was up for 4 hours before pain meds and heating pad finally made it go away. My husband was pissed at me... actually pissed at me because I wouldn't go to the hospital. He is only pissed because today I willprobably not get out of bed and help him around the house. Guaranteed!
So Yes I sympathize on one hand, but on the other, you must, with ALL your will power, Carolina, try to move at least a little.
