Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you knew why we get so damn hot? this week has been pretty crappy for me for that, but it has been entirely my fault. i was feeling much better and managed to get entirely too drunk last week. i haven't been feeling good all week. i'm constantly on fire and not really sleeping because of it.
so, i need no lectures on booze! i'm off the hooch! but, i was wondering what causes the heat? my guy thought i just felt hot, but wasn't. i made him touch me one night and he was pretty surprised by how much heat my body was radiating. no website or book i have provides information on this, so i was hoping someone here could?

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

i used to love reading in the bath too, but i've had to put an end to that.
I even got my Dr to check to see if I was starting menopause at 39. (I'm not) but must admit I am dredding that if I feel like this now.
I hate it and find it is hard dressing for the day or work-having to do layers now.
I look pretty silly walking around with no sleeve shirts at work and everyone else has stockings jackets and jumpers on.
Probably had nothing to do with your drinking. Drink up and enjoy life when you can - isn't that what life is all about?
He said that perhaps where the lesions are has interupted it. Not much we can do. I now have one of those cooling wraps and place it on the base of my neck. It helps instantly.
Overdoing it - getting on treadmill, trying to do lawn work, going outside in the heat - they all raise my body temp and give me difficulty with mobility. Needless to say, I avoid the heat as much as possible and I take my ibuprofen before I even get on the treadmill. I'm down to 10 minutes again since I go through my little bouts of depression here and there and just don't have the gumption sometimes.
My body temp is something I monitor. When it is normal, it is 97.8 versus the 98.6. I used to argue with the nurse that if I'm above that, I have a fever - they now get it after all these years.
Anyway, I don't know if this helped at all - I think I started to have some night sweats around the time of diagnosis but that could be all the pre-menopause stuff.
