I make sure I use the ice pack right after injections and make sure you that you massage the areas 24 hrs after and as often as possible. I massage each area everyday if only for a a few seconds to lessen the lumps. The major lumps are my thighs but every where else seem to help a lot with the lumps going down.

There seems to be a plethora of injection reactions at most any site; just be aware if these lumps (or rash) are not getting any better after a few days. Your reaction should lesson over time.
Your last advise does seem to work cause the medication does ball up under your skin needing to disperse. I found that placing a cold pack off and on for 10minutes at a time worked best.
I found it to be the case having taken Copaxion for 1 years. Wish I could still take that med. The needle length for Baclafin (sp? wrong) was like taking a core sample in my thigh and the flue like side effects were difficult to tolerate. I had to switch to Tysabri a year ago which has turned into a once a month hassle having to drive so far to receive the infusions, sostay on the Copaxion if you can. Its the simplest injection by far that I have tried. I found that injecting my self in the stomach turned out to be the easiest place by far but, thats just me.

If you are using the Autoject, you may not have your depth setting right. Try adjusting by just a little deeper and see if that helps. You can always call Shared Solutions for suggestions. They are always happy to help. 1-800-887-8100

I am no longer on Copaxone (was on for 5 years) but I use to take medication out for several hours to become room temp and use ice afterward. Make sure your Autoject is set properly don't go to deep Good luck!

I heat the site for 5 minutes. The only area I am having a reaction with is my thighs. It goes away within 12 hours though. I manually inject for now.

Thanks everyone. I have started using heat before and ice after the injections. I will see if this helps. I guess the strange thing is that I really wasn't having this much of a reaction the frist week and a half. I'm hanging in there. I know my husband asked can't you just take it every other day. I told him no I need to stick with every day and hopefully once my body gets used to it the reactions will slow down over time. Thanks again.
