I have been suffering from extremely painful spasticity. All over my body, really bad in legs and toes.
I am currently under a GP's care while I try to get into a neuro.
I am on Prednisone. Not the high dose IV stuff. This is the pill form, 40 mg for 2 days, then 30 2 day, 20 for 2 days and so on.
I did a round 3 weeks ago and now another round.
I now have a huge bruise on my foot. It almost covers the entire top of my foot. It does not hurt.
I do not recall hurting it.
My question is, has anyone had this happen or have a clue what it i?.
I know prednisone can cause bruising, could that be it, or would I have to be on it long term? Seems 2 rounds would not be enough. Am I wrong?
If not prednisone, could it be strain from how I walk from the spasticity?
Or is it simply a bruise and not MS related.
I know that no one has the answer. But I thought someone else may have had a similar experience that could shed some light on the subject.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
all I can tell you is that I bruise so easily these days which is not good when I am walking into stuff all the time, Im sure some people that see me out could think Im bashed.... Sometimes although the bruise can be huge I dont know how I did it....
dont know if its Ms but I know my co-ordination is and balence...
I have just learnt that you should put a heat pack not a cold pack on a bruise..
If it is not hurting I wouldn't worry about it, keep a record of it & if you can take a photo to keep so you know when it happened.
I know I haven't been a positive help but try not to worry about it.
Hugs

I think journalling is hightly important.
I wish you well with this.
Right now, I am screaming from the spasms. Not sure I can take much more. If it does not ease up in the next 2 hours, heading to ER. Just too much.
Thanks for all the input.
hugs
