Anorectal manometry is a painless test that is done as an outpatient proceduer ( only prep is fleets enema 1- 2 hours before the procedure. no pain meds or anesthesia needed ) to see if your bowels has been affected by MS.
Biofeedback therapy can be helpful for both bowel and bladder problems. Good luck and don't accept this a the norm. Please do something about it before it gets too bothersome. i just hope it wouldn't happen again but neurological problems are unpredictable.
Hope this helps.
Gentle hugs, Linda
Do a food diary and see if there is a certain correlation to what you eat and incontinence. Could be certain foods.
First thing to do is go to the Dr & get a check of the bowel area etc to make sure what is causing it. It may be m.s., other neurological diseases, cancers/groweths/abnormality or or other issues like irritable bowel, diverticular, or many other diseases that affect bowels.
It is always important not to presume that everything is caused my ms & get investigations done.
in the meantime as an emergency for clean up I carry a purse pack of wet clean ups (they are designed to flush & lots aren't). Easiest way to get the small packs to carry is using baby wipes. This means can clean up & feel fresh if have any accidents.
Hope this helps
