My diagnosis is RRMS, just last week. There is numbness, weakness, fatigue, spacicity; and episodic symptoms of short duration.
Lumbar puncture shows 4 oligoclinal bands, though the MRI shows no [!] active lesions; one cloudy area that was there years ago.
The neuro suggested long-term and short-term treatment. He specified Rituxan,a not-yet-approved treatment that works on b-cells rather than T-cells in the blood.
I read up on MS, b-cells and Rituxan at the medical library and on the web sites for NIH and the named-site for Rituxan.
For the b-cell treatment there are tests mentioned in the peer-reviewed and NIH material: GAPDH and TPI, and MPS. Does anyone have any experience with Rituxan, b-cell treatment, or the three alphabet-named tests?

I receive Rituxan infusions every three months for Devic's NMO. Yes, I have B Cell subset panels done every three months. Zero per cent is the desired goal for NMO patients. For Devic's, re-treatment is recommended once the CD 19's are at a level of one per cent. Unfortunately, many of us continue to relapse, some catastrophically.
