Avonex and Depression

Has anyone had experience with
Avonex and depression? I have been taking
Avonex since January and in the last 2 months
have been teary and not feeling myself.
I am impatient and cranky alot which is VERY
unlike me. Can you share your experiences
if you have had the same symptoms.

I am on Betaseron and luckily have not had any issues... then again, I was already on antidepressants when I started! This is a common side effect (they watch me closely because I already have hx of depression). Talk to your doctor... they can help.

I was on Avonex for just over a year. I had severe depression, thoughts of suicide. My husband read the fine print that comes with the shot and I had almost every bad symptom that was listed. My neuro took me off the Avonex and within a couple of weeks I was back to being myself. Then I tried Copaxone. That is another story!
Now I just take LDN 4.5 everyday.
