I had a warning in my job about the time I had been told by the neuro he suspected MS. Since it wasn't definitive, I had said nothing at work, but it effected my work (students complained), so I blurted it out and basically saved myself. (They did get rid of me 2 years later, but at least I held on two more years.)
Good luck!
Good Luck

Definately get a letter from your Dr. Dp not blurt out MS. If you were positive the conversation would stay only between the 3 people, but it won't.
Definately get legal advised from either the MS Society or the legal team in your neurologist's office before saying or doing anything.
You have my sympathy. My thoughts go out to you. We support you.
This last mistake was I didn't call to double check when some numbers didn't match up to verify I was running the correct ad. I remember seeing the problem, thinking I should call and then I apparently never did and it was wrong. The wrong ad ran. Things like that.
Anyway, MS society said to contact the Job Accommodation Network. I haven't had any cognitive testing done but I think I may need to if this goes any farther. I'm not going to blurt out the MS thing (or currently "Clinically Isolated Syndrome" in my case) but I will keep it in my pocket. I don't think they can fire me straight out because of a disability unless they first attempt to make accommodations. MS is stressful, unpredictable and often invisible to those around us. Like I feel pretty good and I look pretty good today....but I can't feel my toes and I'm a bit out of it. Nobody would know that unless I told them or wore a sign or something. Such a weird disease.
