Is this for skin MRSA infections?

Sure is for skin mrsa..... All the oral antibiotics that I can take are inaffective against the mrsa I have except for Zyvox. But the Zyvox, I am highly allergic to. I have yet to completely get rid of mrsa. I have small staph infections almost 80% of the time, however every so often the staph seems to mutate to a degree where the oral stuff doesnt work, when that happens, small sores turn into very "angry" places that go from painful blister like things to super infected pockets with advanced cellulitis. My immune system isnt up to par most of the time, and with me being COPD, I a frequently on steroids that bring my immune system down even more so. I am constantly being rechecked because the places that have gotten bad have gone from small to huge in less than 24 hours and I run the risk of getting Endocarditis due to heart problems. Oh and by the way I hate having picc lines, they are uncomfortable and itch like crazy. :(

I've done my turn with the pump and bag. It's definitly a pain. Had to always make sure too let out enough slack so I wouldn't sleep on it. A couple of times I almost walked away from the thing and was about to pull it out some. I can't stand that Zyvox either. It caused me to break out in bad fungal infection within 24hrs and cracked my lips and turned the white and itchy for 2weeks. The zyvox caused a gross case of jock itch around my groin and butt. Never again. They've talked about another round of the PICC but so far nothing. I have COPD also. I learned Prednisone is a no no. Caused mrsa outbreak with 24hrs. I just started allergy shots 6wks ago to try and lower my IGE 2613 antibody levels to try and keep the mrsa outbreaks down. 23 times, 54 wounds. I could use a nice 6month vacation between now and my next outbreak. God Bless, Ross

oh bro and this is for skin??? My baby won't like this. She has had a few flare ups mostly on her bum but they are getting angrier looking, now grand daughter had to have two rounds of anti's to get rid of hers. Did she get hers from the hospital the first time she was only 6 months old the last time 18 months old. Don't it ever leave??

I went my round with a PICC line a few years back - what a pain! Home on vanco treatment for a few weeks. Mine started as a skin infection under my arm. It was irritation from a new deod that turned into folliculitis. Then I had swelling almost the size of an orange and felt like I had the flu - horrible flu. Turned out the MRSA had gotten into my blood stream. It was horrible.
Not sure what happened with your heart. Might be a reaction from a medication, the infection - not sure. Did they refer you to cardiology? Something is sending your system into overdrive.
