When I got sick 2 weeks ago, I too broke out in pimples with heads all over. I was having mrsa boils in 5spots. But the pimples basically wiped off. I was on iv vanco in hospital at the time. The pimples were on thigh, butt and inside knee. They didn't hurt either. Ross

I too have had pimples break out on me been told it wasnt MRSA..and yet the whole time it was..I would be concerned about it myself..The bad part it was ID doctor who told me no worries not MRSA and they didnt hurt either not like the boils..Mine Is CA-MRSA too so I do suggest getting to the doctor and make sure they do a culture not just treat it..That is how I got so very messed up too many treatments and no cultures now I have nothing that works on me..

My boyfriend was tested for MRSA when he was in the hospital ( in Nov. 08). about 2 weeks ago he got theses pimple things on his back but we dont know why they were there

U might want to have your bf's pimples tested for MRSA by your doctor. More often than not, as I have learned, these pimples, are actualy just that, pimples. Here is my theory , these pimples develope due to havign or currently havig MRSA, MRSA seems to lower our immune system, and leave us open for secondary illness....even common pimples.

Once MRSA has been presant the immune system does tend to get weakened..

Please take note that they really neet to be checked out to make sure..They possible could be and needs to be taken seriously..

I get zits periodically on my face, back, chest and soulders and, um, feminine itch. The itch has become maddening since I got mrsa, so I have been treasting that area the same as the boils and pimples -- hibiclens and staphguard and so on. It's helped some, but I don't know why, and I don't know if it's even related.

Thanks to everyone for your candid replies. I wish there was a sound cure for all strains of MRSA, perhaps oneday there will be, as this bacteria is mutatign, and on the increase. I still believe that once aquiring MRSA, the illness reduces the hosts immune system ,leaving us open to increased skin dissorders, such as pimples to carbuncles, et al. I've been utilizing hibiclens and defense liquid soap, 2xs per day-it's really been assisting me-but these damned pimples pop up and split sometimes within a day or two-a very odd chronic occurance, indeed.

Ma, I woke up with about 10 of them this morning. Mostly on my legs, thigh, and behind the knee. Just like that. Pop! Overnight.

(groan) my hubby has all the exact syntoms. Pimples, jock itch. He was boil free for 3 months and got 2 huge boils last Saturday. We are headed for the ID specialist today. Right before each boil immerges, he gets a rash, mainly on his back. I fear he will have this for life. $1,600 worth of Zyvox last January only caused the bug to go temp. dormant. I am going to ask the doctor what is best way to build immune system up as antibiotics just won't kill the bug.

Sorry to read about your husband Amy, and everyone else included. I have not experienced a boil since last Aug. A friend of mine had similar symptoms, four boils within three months, then nothign for well over a year now. Aparently, the newer MRSA strains have mutated and are further resistent to most modern antibotics. My theory is this, erradicating MRSA depends upon a person's immune system, how strong orweak it is. That is why some people are cured, while other's battle this illness for years, even lifetimes.

I wash twice a day with defense liquid soap, and hibiclens. I also utilize manuka soap with bee venom, in addition to treatign "pimples" and jock itch with tea tree oinments, and synthetic topical creams. Furthermore, I take a number of daily vitamins, and tend to consume raw garlic in the evenings (when there are no social engagements,that is!). I amt hankfullt hat my strain of MRSA is not as adavanced as many people suffereign with extreme scaring, loss of limbs, and life. Hang in there everyone.

Believe it or not, prior to taking my mornign shower, I discovered what appears to be either a boil or welt on ym back-this is just unreal.

Well guys here I set again..had boils removed again day before yesterday. Left a small one on right rib cage..The others had go deep cut them out tissue and all..No numbing meds allergic to them now Imagine that..

Anyway the small one he thought was too little to mess with and open didnt seem to be any pus in it..Yesterday it had grown to twice its size and today it is even bigger.

Since this has all started with me I am now allergic to many things..All sorts of allergies broke out all over skin right now from reaction from several weeks back..I am sure some of you others here might have experienced the allergies..I know others who have..

Anyway..Here we go again..It will be deep tissue involved now and do I have a culture ever showing what might would have killed it in the beginning no..At this point I dont think it will do me any good..I have taken 5 and a half rounds of Zyvox trying to rid me of it..And I am laying here still with it externally as well as internally..I will probably lose my fight at some point and time with this if something doesnt break..That is why I am here and want to help others to know how important the culture is..and have them show you the results..I left you guys the link to the site I found superbugassassins I hope you guys go look and read the information and view the cultures so you know what you need to do about it..

I am not trying to scare you but it is quite serious. Started having trouble breathing last night found out today walking pnemonia. So when you get it this bad it is one fight after another..

And if you cant get the Zyvox if that is what is needed to treat you with if the culture shows that is what you can use then there are ways to get it through the company based on income when insurance refuses to pay for it..And yes you heard right refuses..

I wish all of you the best..Just know how serious this really is..I am living proof that when not treated right in the beginning it doesnt get any better..Things only decline.

yes! my son has it in his diaper area. it looked like pimples/rash and then it spread like wild fire then became big boils. when it comes to questioning MRSA get to your doctor asap!

The small pimples could be a light MRSA infection, which the bodys natural defenses can keep under control. More likely, the pimples, jock itch, etc. could just be a dermatological condition due to the cleaning and sanitizing soaps, which can be very irritating to the skin. I've had these conditions since I was diagnosed with MRSA a year ago. Also keep in mind, the jock itch is the most important thing not to itch, as this area maybe colonized with MRSA and you could be spreading it this way.

I haven't had a boil in about 3 months now. I've cut down on the antibacterial soaps and the bleach baths, and my overall skin condition has improved. I have also been tanning for about 2 months now and have seen dramatic increases in skin quality. I don't know if the UVa or UVb kills MRSA or just weakens it, but it does stimulate the skin to produce more natural oils with act as a defense. Another thing to keep in mind is tanning solons are a breeding ground for MRSA, so cleaning precautions should be taken, (using a towel to touch things and sanitizer to wipe things down before and after usage.)
