I had a positive discovery this month, and wanted to share it with everyone, in case it might help somebody. I know a lot of us are looking for answers and options.
I have found out, through charting temps for several months, that I have luteal phase defect. I typically ovulate around day 17 of a 27-day cycle. I'm pretty sure related hormonal issues contributed to my m/c, though it doesn't really seem on the radar for my current OB.
I've been doing my own research, and found out about vitamin B6. It apparently acts by suppressing prolactin in the blood that in turn suppress hormones that support ovulation/conception. I started taking B6 supplements this month (100 mg/day - bought a bottle at the grocery store for like $3), and my ovulation happened three days earlier on a much more normal-seeming day 14. As a result, I'm feeling much better about this cycle then I have for many past!
I also found out that taking birth control pills may contribute to increased prolactin levels in the blood, even after you quit taking them. This was a real eye-opener for me, as I had taken them for years before TTC.
I don't have any medical background, and I don't know if this would work for anyone else. But I had to share, just in case.

Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
