i am/was/maybe about 8 weeks, I had some very very mild spotting starting a day or two ago, hardly even noticeable, then yesterday i woke up went to the bathroom and saw blood, i immediately called my nurse and while i was on the phone with her it started running down my leg. there has been clotting as well. i went to the hospital and they still cannot tell me if i am miscarrying or not. There was some bleeding from the uterus opening, but they could not tell if it was open or not. they did two different ultrasounds and could not find a heartbeat. The doctor said it doesnt look good, but that in rare cases you cant find a heartbeat up until 4 months, so i still have a small bit of hope.
In the ultrasound they could still see the baby in there, so i hadnt passed it yet i assume. My friend who was with me said she saw it moving around on the ultrasound, like a little bean thing bouncing around in a circle. and the ultrasound lady kept measuring it and so on and so forth. i have to wait till monday to go to my regular doctor for another ultrasound and blood test. The bleeding stopped abruptly, a couple hours after the hospital and i didnt bleed through the night. in the morning i had some more spotting, some of it blood, some of it pinkish stuff, which i read could be bad too. Im torn apart here, i dont know how to feel or how to deal with this, i dont know if i still have a baby or not! my BF is gone, out to sea, i have no contact with him, so i cant even tell him!! i feel alone. i want my baby to be alive. i want to know now!! not monday!! and im angry, talking to people they say i should have been prescribed bedrest until they knew for sure, no one told me anything! they said there was nothing i could do!! so ive been out and about trying to deal with the stress, i dont know what to do. anyone else been here?

I have been there. I was a little less than 8 weeks along when I miscarried. I had much the same symptoms. And I actually saw my baby when I passed it. It just looks like pink mucus. I am very sorry that you are having to go through this. I wanted my baby too. Just surround yourself with people who can almost understand and who love you and will be there for you. I had to go through everyone, including my doctor, telling me to just get over it. It's like "who cares?". Well, I care and so do a lot of other people. If they have not been through it, they cannot even begin to understand how you feel or the things you are going through. It took a man whose wife had had 3 miscarriages to tell me that it is like post pardom depression. And it really is. You just dont have the baby to take care of. You will get through it. And sometimes it happens because there is something wrong with the baby. Just deal with it your way and dont let anyone ever tell you "to get over it". It just doesnt happen that way. And it may not be a miscarriage. There is always hope up until the very last moment when they can tell you for sure that it was. Good luck and just know that there is NOTHING you could have done. And there is nothing that anyone can do. Just make sure that they check you for the rh negative factor. That is one of the leading causes of miscarriage.

i have had two miscarriage and im currently going through my third. i was told the same thing with my second. there was nothing i could do. they sent me home and basically said get over it. with this one there was a heartbeat but it stopped a week later when i went back in. i have now been spotting for two weeks and passing clots. i went in for blood work to see if it was dropping...turns out they arent. infacts they are getting higher. so i too have to wait until monday to know whats going on. i might have get another D&C. its hard to wait and the not knowing isnt great either. just remember we are all here for you. im very sorry..........

thanks for the support, im still real scared.
its really hard cause i dont have him here ither. im worried this will hurt our relationship too if i lose the baby. he wont be upset, but i dont know how upset i will be, i have hormonal issues that seemed to regulate since i was pregnat, i was scared of the post pardum thing, but i had time to figure out what to do with doctors. im scared that the hormone drop will make me like i was before, oh, hurry up monday

I am so sorry for all that you are going through. It really doesn't sound good. At 8 weeks, you should be able to see a heartbeat clearly on the ultrasound. I learned this hard way when I went in for my ultrasound at 8 weeks and found out that my baby had no heart beat. I had to wait a week for a follow-up, just in case I conceived later than I had thought. The follow-up was not good news. It was a horrible wait to find out for sure, so I know what you are going through. I will be thinking of you.

My prayers are with you. If possible try to distract yourself as much as possible, or just indugle if it helps. FYI: I have had symptoms like this will all five of my pregnancies. The first one lived, the next three didn't, and I am currently 4 mo. on my fifth with good health for the babe. Don't let that get your hopes up or down...I am just stating some facts. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Stress will hurt you worse though so just try to sleep as much as possible and relax..your body needs it. Good Luck!

im so sorry. im a little over 8 weeks and i just cant imagine going thru something like that, esp alone. i hope that your friend was right and there was movement, it couldve been the heart, it looks like little flickers. it sounds to me like you got some subpar patient care too. is there another hospital you can go to for another u/s? if so, by 8weeks they should defintly be able to see a fetus and a heartbeat. i hope everything is ok, and keep us posted.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I know how awful it is to not have answers right away. It is really frustrating. I m/c between 8 & 9 weeks and it was the most excruciating pain that I've ever experienced. When I talked to the OB-GYN that was on call at the hospital before my m/c, she said that you can have quite a bit of bleeding and still be okay. Definitely surround yourself with people that care about you and try as much as possible to relax (I know that's easier said than done).
