Miscarriage Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have experienced the traumatizing event of a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Miscarriage remains one of the most common complication of pregnancy, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. Join the group and find support in the company of others who know what you're going through.
I am in the opposite position where a lot of people I am close with have also had miscarriages and they have been really supportive but..it's hard.
I thought I was doing well, working on it. I lost my baby at 8wks1day and when I hit what would have been 12 weeks I was really upset, but that was a fews weeks ago now and I really thought I was "getting over it". But I started yoga again and in one of those quiet moments when you hold the pose, I just started crying. ugh...it was awful. So I don't know. I hope eventually we will come to peace with all of this. Best of luck.
I envy anyone who can get over it. I feel I am my own worst enemy. The thoughts that go through my head make me angry and frustrated.
Thank you for listening to me.
Ladies I hope Things get better for you as well.
I also feel like everyone is pregnant or having babies. One month ago my best friend told me she was pregnant, another good friend had a baby and recently another friend told me she is pregnant. I think it makes dealing with the miscarriage even harder when it is so much up in your face.
I don't think it matters how long you were pregnant, it hurts the same. Society makes you think it wasn't that long so you should be over it but a loss is a loss. It takes time to grieve and heal.
I have learned that people say very insensitive things which we never forget. It hurts so much but I don't think people are trying to hurt you.
I think it isn't fair that everyone else gets to have their happy, healthy pregnancy but I don't, why me?
Unfortunately it can take a while for things to feel better. Everyone is different. It will soon be 5 months since I miscarried and I still feel pretty bad. There are a lot of rollercoasters of emotions but it does seem to ever so slowly get better and the rollercoasters get shorter.
I hope this helps you not to feel alone. It is completely normal all the things that you are feeling.
Feel free to private message me if you need to talk.
There is definitely a lack of understanding on miscarriages especially people that have not been through one. Because of that, there is a lack of support which makes things even harder.
For me it helps to talk to people that are open to hearing about it.
I hope you feel better.
"I'm so sorry you are going through this and I'm here for you. I know your time will come and it will be so joyful, I'll be here through it all, and all the feelings you have are totally justified."
People want to fix it, fix you, by changing your perspective, instead of supporting you by validating your experience and emotions. I understand the intent is postive but the results are usually not great. I've found the best support is here with you ladies. The best support comes from people who aren't trying to fix it, but just understand it themselves.
I watched my sister and brother both struggle from having kids so young so I decided to wait till I was older. Now it just seems to be biting me in the butt. I am definitely not getting younger and would like to have more than 1. Just seems so difficult and I am scared for it to happen again.
Ladies Thank you for all your comments. Definitely helps to hear others in the same position I am in. It has been 2 months since my miscarriage and I thought I was going good until I saw my cousin was having a baby, and I just balled up. A lot of times I just hide and bottle up my feelings, or when I am alone I just cry to myself.
Hoping things get easier.
I would love to say it gets easier but I am still struggling. I deleted FB because of all the pregnancies. I never want to wish this on anyone however I was questioning why the drug addict, jobless or the unstable girl got to keep their baby and I did not. So I took myself off to easy my mind. Like I said, I hope no one has to go through this.
Whatever you do, don't do what I did. I have pushed my husband away more than anything. He wants to try again and I don't. Two years of trying and then having my body go from pregnant to not was enough for me at this time. It has been an emotional roller coaster. I now want to adopt and he does not.
I feel I am trapped and have nearly pushed him to divorce. The one person who feels the same pain as me, I am pushing away and I am really mean to him. I dislike who I have become. I feel that I have lost my heart and nothing else can trump that. So please, with all your pain hold on to your husband. Don't push him away. He loves you more than anything and he can't make the pain go away. I wish I realized that before I really messed mine up...
You won't get over it anytime soon.... You will want to run away and peoples words hurt more. Just stay strong for your unborn child. Your child matters. Cherish the little time you had and for your child, get stronger. That is why I joined here. I need to concur this sadness. I am here for you like the others in this group. We will get through this!
*Hugs*
I just want to say that unless someone has been in your shoes, they don't understand and they will say those hurtful words about moving on, it not being your time, etc.
I would like to say it will get easier soon but it may not, for me it was a roller coaster of some good days and some bad days, some very very bad days. I distanced myself from friends and family, I even called it quits with a long time friend because of her insensitivities.
My recommendation is to acknowledge what happened to you - realize that you are grieving the loss of a loved one and know that no one can tell you how long that grief process will last. Maybe even look up the stages of grief so that you can understand what you are feeling and know that it is normal.
And for me I finally had to limit the number of ppl I talked to about our miscarriage because unless they had been through it, they didn't say the right things, they only made it worse. I found a lot of healing here and I hope you do to.
And my final words of advice - let time be your friend. the sharp edges of grief will dull over time, never to go away, but to be easier to manage.
I just dont know how to feel "normal". Due to my extreme surgery, vaginal delivery and c-section I am on leave from work. I don't fall asleep until 4 am and I just never want to get out of bed. I am a mess, I cry everyday. I honestly feel like my soul died with my babies. When I close my eyes I see my son and my daughters' faces.
I could use any advice. How do I get back to living? Is it possible?
Nobody around me totally gets the pain besides my husband. I know what you mean by you being sick of hearing things like "it wasn't your time" or "you can do it again". I don't think these people know what they are saying. I feel just as angry. I have never done anything bad to anyone in my life so I don't understand why me. I have never wanted more than just having my own family and home and it's just not happening..
I find comfort in talking to the women on here because they know the feeling. I to take it a day at a time. I'm still hurting. I wish I had the right answer to stop your pain but I don't. You are in my prayers.
No one is going to tell us how we are going to feel after something like that. My husband won't let me throw away our 1 and only sonogram picture, it is actually still hanging on my refrigerator and it reminds me everyday. Things will get easier, but it will be hard at times. I though I was good for a while, but then a Facebook post from my cousin put me over the edge just a little. Just take it day by day. Reading everyone's posts on here never lets me forget that this happened but makes we realize even though I am the only one in my family who went through this, I am still not the only one.
