does anyone know if aspirin can help or hinder conception? Is it worth a try?

Talk to your OB. My OB is all for it & my RE uses as a part of my IVF protocol. But, I know there are many reasons that some are against it. I would never start something like aspirin (since it increases your bleeding time) without speaking to your doc. I was told it actually helps increase blood flow to the placenta once you are already pregnant not necessarily with conception if that makes sense.

My OB said it is a good idea for me only after this pregnancy is established because it does increase you chances of bleeding. I know it helps with implantation I think because it helps your uterine lining. Before you start anything like that you should consult your doctor-----like dulcylee said. Good luck

I had a nurse tell me that Robitussin cough syrup can help with conception because the Guaifenesin (active ingrediant) helps thin out cervial mucus and makes it easier for the egg to implant. We tried it for our first pregnancy and it really did work. We will be trying it again in the next two weeks when I'm ovulating. Good luck to you.

I have just got pregnant after taking aspirin for the last 6 months. I usually fall quicker so not sure if the aspirin made a difference.

Asprin is on the list of drugs not reccomended while pregnant. Therefore, my feeling is that it wouldn't be safe to take while trying to concieve. But..I am NOT an OB..consult with your Dr.

Confused.......I was told that ibuprofen wasn't safe because it increases bleeding and what not but aspirin was ok in low to moderate doses.
