Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I'm trying not to be hard on myself, and keep talking to my doctors. I also keep two journals; one little calendar is for specifics ("woke up depressed, Noon: feel better, took a Tylenol," etc). The second one is more of how I'm feeling and what I need to say about what I'm going through ("Again? Another day of this AGAIN?!" etc.). The second journal is more of a venting system...There's anger and despair in there that I don't want to expose my family to. Both are helpful.
Anyway, this hormone thing affects all of us differently, so sadly, no one. My can promise anything. My mother-in-law hardly felt a thing; just stopped her period one day...that's it.
Keep checking back on this site. You are not alone at all.
Hugs and flowers to all of us!
