Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Hello, I am new and have been waiting for someone to talk about menopause, because it does just that, "pause” your life while you battle with cold sweats, hot flushes, mood swings, forgetfulness, flulike symptoms for 5-7 minutes (each time I get a cold sweat or hot flush), and the laughter that turns to tears. I work full time, and try to keep my mood swings in check. I find it unhelpful that menopause is not a reason to take days off work, but it should be a reason, right? Also, the impact of Covid-19 lockdown 1 and 2, restrictions and the death of my mother in 2020 pushes my mind and body to extreme lengths DAILY….anyway! anyone relates!!

Menopause is a natural thing that I don't think the medical people really care how we feel. Just a fact of life for them.
Take care of yourself, eat well and healthy, try to sleep and rest when you can. You will get thru this.

That's all I have about my experience. Big hugs.
Peace and love, be gentle and good to yourself always.
So my ob-gyn said many women are worrying needlessly of hormone replacement therapy for fear of breast cancer. That breast cancer correlation was from an incomplete study. There's a more recent study that found using bio-identical hormones do not pose that risk for women who take it within the first 5 years of menopause. So I took it and got my life back!
I highly recommend you explore that with your ob-gyn.
